| | | | | | Race Information | | | Description: | | | | | Chesapeake Youth Foundation is very excited to officially announce our second annual CASA Superhero 5k and Superhero Sprint at Chesapeake City Park. After doing extensive research we chose to partner with CASA and the Superhero Foundation due to their commitment to advocating for abused and neglected children all around the country. This race is a designated “fun run”. Participants are encouraged to sprint, skip, hop, or dance their race length in a superhero costume to support the Superhero Foundation’s idea that every child needs a hero but abused children need a superhero. While being a fun run, we are also providing timing chips for every participant in order to support avid runners interested in keeping track of their run time. Throughout the day of May 2nd, 2015 there will be the CASA Superhero 5k, the CASA Superhero 1 mile Sprint, and family fun activities with live music.
All race and fun day proceeds will directly benefit Chesapeake Youth Foundation’s mission to partner with the City of Chesapeake’s R U Ready Plan for youth and families through advocacy, education, and support. | | | | |
