| | | | | | Race Information | | | Description: | | | | | The 2026 Run of the Mill Trail Runraiser is proudly presented in partnership with Velo Amis. This 3rd annual do good, feel good donation based trail charity event takes our runners and walkers through the beautiful and historic Brandywine Creek State Park, in the heart of Wilmington, Delaware. Home to many cross country races including the Delaware cross country state championships, this event's course will challenge you and give you a run for your money! Proceeds from this year's event will benefit these three Delaware non-profit organizations - Delaware Youth Cycling LeagueFriends of Brandywine CreekSussex SSharks Mountain Bike Team These cycling organizations evoke the strong bodies and perserverance of our next generation through the sport of mountain biking, emphasizing the values of inclusivity, fun, equity and respect. The park provides all of us the enviornment to help nurture our bodies and souls. The marked course will remain open for 4 hours, making it hiker friendly for both the 5-miler and the 10-miler distance. 5-miler participants: please carry your own hydration/nutrition. There will be one un-manned water only aid station only for the 10-mile participants around mile 4.5 and mile 6 along the 10-mile course. Porta-potties available at the start/finish only. In the event of unsafe weather conditions, participants will be notified on Friday, 11/6, with the chance of moving the event to Sunday, 11/8. Registration is donation based and required. With a suggested donation of $25, it gives you a ticket to enter for one of our raffle prizes (via the donation button here on the race webpage, or at https://runsignup.com/Race/Donate/DE/Wilmington/RunOfTheMillMilerWalkRunTrailRunraiser ). Why is it donation based? Because as an avid trail runner myself, I see how costly some events can get. Much of the philosophy for this event is rooted in encouraging community coming together and keeping trail running accessible to all. So you get to decide what is a reasonable cost to participate! I do not feel the cost to participate should be a barrier. Your donation does create a positive ripple effect, not only in getting more kids outdoor and on bikes, but also in keeping our park accessible and beautiful. It speaks volumes about commitment to one's community. Crossing that finish line will feel rewarding and meaningful! Please check out our sponsors who play a huge part in keeping this event possible! These Brandywine trails may feel challenging, but you will be rewarded with a finishing swag! Those who made a donation are eligible to enter for one of the GREAT RAFFLE prizes, courtesy from our in-kind contributors and Topo Athletic! Online registration closes on Thursday, 11/5, capping at 135 participants. Bib pick up starts at 8am on the day of the event. Race starts at 8:30a. Day of event registration available up until 8:15a with a REGISTRATION FEE of $35 via Venmo or cash only. Post race snacks and drinks are pot-luck style at the picnic table under the pavilion; we'd love it if you are able to bring something to share! Daily entrance fee applies, $4 per in-state, $8 per out-of-state, cash or via kiosk at the park. This event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field. Timing and results by Sarcastic Dog Moms Timing. We love pets but please leave your pets home while you are running or hiking on the course as a race participant. We look forward to seeing everyone at the start line!
