| | | | | The heat took quite a toll on the 100K racers. We still have a few runners on the course. The clouds rolled in late in the afternoon bringing some relief but the heat was still tough to deal with. |

| | | | | We have a winner in the 100K and a new course record! Valmir Nunes has won the 100K race in 8:22:31! Valmir, a native of Brazil, is a world class runner. He won the 135 mile Badwater Endurance race earlier this year. |

| | | | | The 100km and 50km races both started on time this morning at 6:15 and 6:45am respectively. Current weather is sunny and clear with the temp at 65F. The temperature is expected to climb into the low 80s in the afternoon with possible thunderstorms. |
