Technical t-shirt to all entrants - a silver long sleeve unisex CoolMax Alta t-shirt from RaceReady:
http://www.oilcreek100.org/Home/race-info

The course is a 50K loop run mostly on the single-track Gerard hiking trail (GHT) of Oil Creek State Park. Short sections of dirt road and asphalt are kept to a minimum - and the asphalt can be avoided by running on the side of the road in the dirt / grass.

Only about a 1.5 mile section between race HQ at Titusville Middle School (TMS) and the park is on asphalt - and runners can run on the side of it in the dirt / grass for much of that distance.

50 & 100 mile trail races both end at 1 PM on Sunday Oct 11, 2009

50K trail race ends at 7 PM on Saturday Oct 10, 2009

Showers available to runners, pacers and crew for a nominal $5 fee to help with custodial coverage race weekend - the school would not be available as our race HQ if they were not giving up their weekend for this event so be sure to thank them race weekend!

Free tenting in the lawn next to the TMS parking lot and pitching a sleeping bag / air mattress on the gymnasium floor are two inexpensive options for lodging.

Crew allowed for 50 & 100 mile distances only
- 50K none - unless you are age 60 and above
- 50 miler: only allowed at TMS AS#4 (the end of the first 50K loop)
- 100 miler: only allowed after the first 50K loop has been completed at TMS AS#4; then permitted at both TMS AS#4 and Egbert Farm AS#2 (turnaround point at Petroleum Center) for the subsequent loops
- Wolfkiel Run AS#1 and Miller Farm Rd Bridge AS#3 are NOT crew accessible due to the lack of parking and remoteness

100 miler ** SOLD OUT **
- 2 drop bags permitted - both aid stations visited 3 times - one at TMS race HQ and the other at the south turnaround point at the park office in Petroleum Center PA
- up to 3 pacers allowed after two of the 50K loops are completed, the pacer must register at TMS race HQ to sign waiver and get pacer bib. The pacer can then join at TMS race HQ AS # 4 or at Egbert Farm AS # 2 at Petroleum Center for all or part of the 3rd and final 50K loop + the extra 7ish mile "home stretch" loop
- one pacer at a time
- since you will visit TMS AS#4 at race HQ and the start / finish line THREE times during the race, this will test your resolve to keep going
- runners age 60 and above are encouraged to have a pacer the entire race

50 miler ** SOLD OUT **
- 2 drop bags permitted - one at TMS race HQ and the other at the south turnaround point at the park office in Petroleum Center PA, both aid stations will be visited just once each during the race
- 1 pacer allowed the last 19ish mile loop
- runners age 60 and above are encouraged to have a pacer the entire race
- all pacers must register & sign the waiver at TMS race HQ and report to aid station # 4 before entering the course
