Of special note... fast Eddie Rousseau set a new age group record of mileage covered in 12 hours time... at age 71 he went on to finish Mad City 100K just under the course required time in 12:58:16.6.

50K Solo and 50K Relay Teams began their journey at 8:00 am under the command of Madison's ultra extraordinary runner and guest starter, Ann Heaslett.

Meanwhile... Chikara Omine continues to lead the 100 Km USATF National Championship having completed 3 of 10 laps.

Under the watchful eye of race director Tim "Timo" Yanacheck guest race starter Suzy Favor Hamilton fired the starters pistol and set the 100 kilometer competitors in motion at 6:31 am.

The weather is ideal with clear skies, light and variable winds, temperatures in the mid-40°F range.

4th Annual Mad City 100K!
Logo: Mad City 100KMadness returns to the shores of Lake Wingra for the 4th annual Mad City 100K featuring events of 100 Kilometers, 50 Kilometers, and 50 Kilometer Relay.

6:30 am :: Start of the 100 Kilometer USATF National Championship.
8:00 am :: Start of the 50 Kilometer Solo and 50 Kilometer Relay.
7:30 pm :: Course closure and official end of all events of the 2010 Mad City 100K.
