The start of the race begins at the corner of 9th and Market Streets adjacent to Warvel Park. Heading south, there is a slight incline until reaching Main Street, after which there is a moderate decent across the Eel River Bridge. As the course turns … runners will re-cross the Eel River as they run through the historic Red Covered Bridge and encounter a slight incline until crossing Main Street again, after which the remainder of the course is flat to slightly downhill. The entire course is set in the midst of the Town of North Manchester and is a popular fan attraction as part of the Saturday morning events for the Town’s summer festival. The Payoff: 100% of entry fees support Junior Achievement (JA) Programs in the Manchester Community Schools. JA provides opportunities to students in all grade levels to learn more about their personal potential, education goals, roles as producers and consumers, and operations of the national and global economies in which they live and function.
