CTC Serial Competition Race
Aid stations every 2 miles with water, Gatorade, and ice.
7 hour time limit. The finish area will close down at 1 pm.
Packet pick up time will be 2 pm to 7 pm, Sunday, September 2 in the lobby of the Hampton Inn or 5 am to 5:30 am race day.

Awards:
Framed posters to overall male and female winners. Running shoes (from Tryathletics) to overall winners and first age 40+, male and female. Medals to all finishers. Plaques to first three male and female: 24 & under, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+.
Dave Schulte Award for the most improved 2012 HOA performance of a sub-five-hour 2011 HOA finisher. T-shirts to all entrants.
Post Race:
The post-race gathering and awards ceremony will be at Shakespeare's Pizza, 9th & Elm from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm or so. Awards at 1:30 pm.
Pizza slices will be free to all HOA entrants, family members and volunteers. Drinks will be available for purchase at Shakespeare's.
If you are eligible for an award (results posted at finish area very soon after you finish) and unable to be at the awards ceremony at 1:30, then please let us know before you leave so we can give you your award. The winner of the Schulte Award will be known by 11 am or so. To be eligible for the Schulte Award you must have run last year's HOA in less than 5 hours.

History and Highlights:
HOA is one of the oldest and toughest courses in America. It began on Labor Day in 1960 with five runners, two of whom completed the course. Running guru Hal Higdon calls it a "down-home country course," and he lists Easley Hill as one fo the 10 toughest climbs in the nation. Jay Nixon, current Governor of the State of Missouri, completed his first HOA in 1978. Forty-seven of the 50 states have been represented by at least one HOA finisher. | | | | |
