The race will once again start and finish downtown in front of the City & County Building on Bannock St; and travel past many of Denver’s major landmarks such as the Colorado Convention Center and Larimer Square, loops its way through LoDo then past the Pepsi Center, Union Station, and Coors Field, then winds through City Park, Cheesman Park, and Washington Park and their neighborhoods creating a community-wide celebration throughout the city. The final mile of the marathon will take you past Denver’s oldest restaurant from 1893 before you reach the finish line and a post-race Finish Line Festival in Civic Center Park! The 2011 course has little to no elevation change and is certified by USA Track & Field as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
