IMPORTANT – READ THIS
FINISH LINE/RESULTS

A. The FINISH LINE system is a multi-chute, pull-tag, spindle system.

NARRATIVE – The basis of any finish line system is to record the time of each runner as they cross the finish line and then (here’s the tricky part) maintain the finish order until the runner’s numbers can be recorded in order so that they can be matched up with the times for accurate results.

1. As you approach the finish line be alert for marshals who will be making chute changes. As one chute gets full we will change to the next empty one.
2. After you cross the finish line and enter the chute stay in your finish order until you exit the chute. Keep moving.
3. As you move through the chute, remove the pull-tag from your number and hand it to the worker at the end of the chute.
4. You can help us by:
a. Encouraging BANDITS who have crossed the finish line to stay in the chutes.
b. If the runner in front of you is ill or injured, take his or her pull-tag, keep it in the proper order, and let him/her get out and get assistance.
5. There will be marshals in the chutes to help. They will have BANDIT tags.

B. RESULTS - provided by DRKomputing, Dyer, Indiana.

NARRATIVE – The runner numbers will be read into the computer from the bar codes on your pull-tag. Your number will be matched up to your time and:

YOUR COMPLETE RESULTS WILL BE READY BEFORE YOU LEAVE

1. About FIFTEEN minutes after you have finished, go to the RESULTS area. Give the operator your runner number, they will key it in, and your results will be printed right there.
2. After you get your results, check your place in your age category. If you have won an award, please stay for the presentation. AWARDS WILL NOT BE MAILED.
3. If you set a PERSONAL RECORD, be sure to pick up a PR certificate at the PR table.

C. AWARD CEREMONY

We will hold the award ceremony as soon as we have accurate/complete results. Our best estimate is that it will be no later than 9:30 a.m. If we’re ready sooner we’ll go ahead.
