Description:
Run the entire Ice Age trail in Dane County! This is a new Fat Ass style run entirely on the Ice Age Trail. Total mileage for the Ice Age National Scenic Trail within Dane County is approximately 67 miles. The Dane Drifters Ultra-Run will cover the entire distance over two days, Saturday and Sunday. A bus ride will be provided from the daily end point to the start of each day’s segment. This provides runners the opportunity to have their car waiting for them at the finish each day.

Three distance options are provided for runners:

1. Solo Run the entire distance over two days.
2. A one day option will also be provided for those wishing less mileage (35.4 miles Saturday and 31.6 miles Sunday). Runners can choose either day for the one day option.
3. An Any-Number person relay option. Relay teams can choose to split the 67 miles anyway they want. Meaning they can split and switch zero or more times each day. Relay teams will need to provide their own transportation between segments. The bus will only be available to taxi relay runners from the finish to the starting point race day morning. The relay can also be either a 1 or 2 day option.

We will not be offering refunds so please be sure you will be able to make the race prior to registration. Any extra funds will be donated to the IATA (Ice Age Trail Alliance) or for food/drink at the end of each day, so your money will be going to great causes.

The Dane County Chapter of the Alliance recognizes everyone that runs/walks all of the trail with a patch and certificate of achievement. See this link for some details.

http://www.iceagetrail.org/volunteer/chapters/dane-county/

Everyone completing both days will be presented with their patch at the Lodi finish.

Registration closes at 6am on Friday April 1st, 2016.

Some more logistics for the weekend:
Buses will be provided for the official start for convenience, but runners may start early or late if they wish to make their own transportation arrangements. I only ask that runners inform me of their intent so we don't wait for them.

If you only do one day of the race you may print off a Dane Drifters tracking form from the link above and send in for your own patch when you finish all the sections.

DaneDriftersUltras will donate any leftover funds to the Ice Age Trail Alliance.

A cue sheet will be emailed to runners after registration. It is the runner's responsibility to follow the route. All trail sections must be done, but connecting routes on roads may be altered as necessary. The cue sheet given will document the shortest route that can be taken.
