These races will start just a short drive from Peoria, IL in Chillicothe, IL at Camp Wokanda and go through Robinson Park and Detweiler Park. All races will finish at Camp Wokanda. The 100 mile race will start at noon on Friday, will have a 36 hour cut-off, and will have about 23,500 ft of elevation gain. 100 milers must have started their last loop by 3pm Saturday. The 100k will begin at 8pm Friday, The 50k and half marathon will begin at 8am on Saturday. All racers must be finished running by midnight. Camping is available at the start/finish, no need to reserve camping ahead of time, just let us know you plan to camp at packet pickup. There are rustic cabins available for rent at the start/finish, please contact us if you would like to reserve a cabin. There are no electric hookups for camping. Hot showers are located at the start/finish. The course will wind along the ridge of the scenic Illinois River Valley and offers several challenging climbs and some very steep descents. There are several bridges and stairs along the course. Runner's feet should stay dry unless we receive a large amount of rain the leading up to or during the race. There will be 4 aid stations per 20 mile loop, three of the aid stations are manned and well stocked with standard aid station food along with hot food items. One aid station is unmanned and will have minimal snacks, water, and tailwind. Runners will hit three of the four aid stations twice per loop, meaning you will not go more than 4 miles between aid stations. All racers will receive a t-shirt, all finishers will receive an award. Drop bags will be allowed for the 100k and 100 mile at both Detweiller and Camp Wokanda. 100 mile finishers will receive a belt buckle. Race day registration will be available without the guarantee of a shirt. No drops downs for any distance runner during the week of the race. In an effort to help save our environment, we are cupless. Cups will be available for hot food items only. Registration will be capped at 200 runners, race day registration will be available if we have not reached the 200 runner cap prior to race day.
