| | | | | Race Information | | Description: | | | | | These races will start just a short drive from Peoria, IL in Chillicothe, IL at Camp Wokanda and go through Robinson Park and Detweiler Park. All races will finish at Camp Wokanda. The 100 mile race will start at noon on Friday, will have a 36 hour cut-off, and will have about 23,500 ft of elevation gain. 100 milers must have started their last loop by 5pm Saturday. The 100k will begin at 8pm Friday, The 50k and half marathon will begin at 8am on Saturday. All racers must be finished running by midnight. Camping is available at the start/finish, no need to reserve camping ahead of time, just let us know you plan to camp at packet pickup. There are rustic cabins available for rent at the start/finish, please contact us if you would like to reserve a cabin. There are no electric hookups for camping. Hot showers are located at the start/finish. The course will wind along the ridge of the scenic Illinois River Valley and offers several challenging climbs and some very steep descents. There are several bridges and stairs along the course. Runner's feet should stay dry unless we receive a large amount of rain the leading up to or during the race. There will be 3 aid stations per 20 mile loop. Aid stations will be well stocked with standard aid station food along with hot food items. Runners will hit two of the three aid stations twice per loop, meaning you will not go more than 6 miles between aid stations. Pacers will be allowed after the first loop (20 miles) for 100k runners and after two loops (40 miles) for 100 milers. All pre registered racers will receive a t-shirt, all finishers will receive an award. Drop bags will be allowed for the 100k and 100 mile at both Detweiller and Camp Wokanda. 100 mile finishers will receive a belt buckle. No drops downs for any distance runner during the week of the race. In an effort to help protect our environment, we are cupless. Cups will be available for hot food items only. Registration will be capped at 140 runners, race day registration will be available. Race day registration will be $30 more than the final online registration rate without a shirt. Collapsible silicone cups will be available for purchase on race day.
