Title:The Great 8K -- Worth the trip!
Date:Saturday June 30th, 2012
Author:Juli Aistars
Report:
I ran the Great 8K on Saturday.

It was hot and humid and the race started at 8AM. It was a lot of fun.
There were 158 finishers in this first time event and there were not a
whole lot of runners older than me and many younger all the way to
under 9 years old. The Team in Training was out and a large group of
kids in a triathlon club, doing something positive.

Bil Thom timed the race. Correct me if I am wrong, Bill. My
understanding is that the results were coming through online in real
time at Bill's runrace.net race registration website. I found the
complete results online right shortly after the awards. Bill is
incredible. Not only is he a great runner, but he has designed and
runs what I consider one of the best race registration sites which is
very user-friendly and includes races of all distances. No NFI and no
motivation to say it except that it's true. Mary Gorski's unique race
reports can be found on this site -- isn't that enough of a testimony?

Thank you Bill and Rich for your great work on the race along with the
volunteers and RD.
