Viewing Run Report Title: Alsip Park District 5K Run/3K Walk Date: Saturday June 16th, 2007 Author: Bill Thom Under beautiful blue skies the 2007 Alsip Park District 5K Run/3K Walk took place on scenic roads and bike paths. Runners and walkers were grateful for the early 7:30 am start as temperatures soared into the 90's as the day progressed. Race directors Leslie Guererra and Brian McLaughlin along with their collection of energetic volunteers saw to the safety of all participants. Perennial champion Joseph King won the 5K race by 10 seconds, pushed to the finish by runner-up Kyle Middleton. Of the fairer sex Megan Moeller came in first closely pursued by Cindy Roman. 49 runners finished the 5K Race and 29 participants took part in the 3K Walk.
