Chicago Full Moon Run
2nd Annual 5-Km and 1-Mile Road Race Under the Full Moon
Rather moderate by mid-summer-Chicago-standard temperatures, with etchings of high lazy clouds adorning Norwood Park... volunteers met to begin set up for our 2nd annual Chicago Full Moon Run around 5:30 pm. Soon participants arrived and bustled through check-in, packet pickup, and over to our starting area.
Precision's the target... but chaos of race day delayed the start of our Full Moon 5-Km Featured event for almost four minutes. By 7:49 pm Hurlbut Street came alive with the thundering pack echoing westward. Five minutes later Race Director Emeritus Michael Bastian sounded the air-horn again, this time sending 1-Mile Lunar Orbiters to the roads on their adventure.
Congratulations to our top runners...
