| | | | | | Race Information | | | Description: | | | | | ![[logo: Run With Debby]](../images/logo/runWithDebby.jpg "The Debby Reese Memorial 3K Run/Walk") I am honored to announce the inaugural Run With Debby 3K fundraiser on June 14, 2014. Proceeds from this event will be distributed equally between Hitch Elementary School and St. Tarcissus Elementary School to help children in the Gladstone Park Community. The run will be held in honor of the life and career of Deborah “Debby” Reese.
Ms. Reese was principal at Hitch School from 2004 to 2014. She dedicated her life to children, Hitch School, and the Hitch School community. She worked tirelessly to bring the community together and always sought ways to increase school funding opportunities and build community relationships.
The concept for this event emerged from a discussion I had with Debby two years ago to explore ways to secure funding for costly Promethean Board installations in the classroom. With Debby’s passing in February it is time to put this plan in action, bring the community together, and make Debby’s vision a reality.
