| | | | | | Race Information | | | Description: | | | | | The Sri Chinmoy 1K Swim at Harriman State Park in upstate New York is part of a larger suite of races staged simultaneously on Sunday, September 9th, 2018. The three events are:
* Swim-Run Aquathlon: 1km swim and 10 km run. Participants can race as individuals, or as part of a relay team
* 10K road race
* 1K open-water swim race
The 10 km run and 1 km swim are staged on the same course as the Swim-Run Aquathlon. The swim takes place in beautiful Lake Welch; the run is through the forest and follows the shores of Lake Welch.

Through a well marked and beautiful course, home-made lunch, medals for all finishers, and an especially large community of committed and encouraging volunteers, the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team offers a race atmosphere where beginners and veteran athletes alike can excel and transcend their own previous limits.
These races offer an incredible opportunity for athletes who wish to build on their current swim training, running, or triathlon training programs. The races also offer a great option for people considering beginner, mini, or sprint triathlons, minus the cycling!
