Description:
SOLD OUT FOR 2022

Come run with us at our 7th annual Mosquito Hill Endurance Run on October 15th, 2022. Our race takes place at the Mosquito Hill Nature Center in New London, WI. Runners and walkers will journey through our 3.1+ mile loop on trails in which you will travel though wetlands, prairies, a forest, and up to the top of Mosquito Hill. A great race for any trail runner of any skill level! Our trails are not technical and nice and wide.

This year we will offer a 3, 6, and 12 hour option as well as a 12 hour team event. We also offer a unique Moonlight 5k which starts in the evening.

Our timed events are designed to allow participants to run or walk as many miles as they desire. This is a great way to set a new mileage PR for yourself regardless of your speed!

Our moonlight 5k allows people to discover the trail at night. Headlamps or flashlights are a must!

2022 Runner Information:

Location: Our race is located at Mosquito Hill Nature Center in New London, WI. The address is N3880 Rogers Road.
Parking: please park in the “overflow” (grass) parking lot adjacent to the paved parking lot.

Date: The race dates and start times are the following

5k- Saturday, October 15th at 6pm
3 hour- Saturday, October 15th at 10am
6 hour-Saturday, October 15th at 10am
12 hour- Saturday, October 15th at 9am

Registration/Packet Pick-up: There will be NO same day registration. You can pick-up your packet anytime between 8:00am and 9:45am on Saturday or 5pm to 5:45 pm on Saturday for the 5k. In other words, arrive a little early before your race to receive your bib and race goodies. You can pick-up your race packet at the Start/Finish Line adjacent to the Nature Center building.
Awards: We will be giving awards to the first place male and female for each event. There are no age group awards.

Cup-less: Please bring a reusable cup as we will be limiting how many disposable cups we have at the aid station.

Food: All racers can look forward to 1 fully stocked aid station at the start/finish line and hot post race food at the finish.

Swag: All runners will receive something awesome for participating (we keep this a secret). You will also receive a cool race medal at the finish line!

Course: Your course is a 3.46 mile loop that will be marked with flags. You will be switching directions on each loop. Each loop has approximately 400 feet of elevation gain. The course is very runable with very few rocks and roots. This year we are adding reflective markers on some of the flags to make spotting the course in the dark easier. 12 hour runners and 5k runners will need to bring a flashlight or headlamp. 5k runners will not be allowed to start the race unless they bring a headlamp or flashlight. It is dark out there. Please be safe and watch your footing!

We will have portable toilets outside for runners. The building will be open for bathroom use only. There will be 1 portable toilet on course.

Timing: Our race is manually timed. It is your responsibility to make sure that our volunteers see you and count your lap. Please remember that your GPS watch is only so accurate. We grade everyone on the same course distance which if our course remains the same is 3.4 miles. 5k runners will receive special instructions on race day to ensure they receive an accurate time.

Tents/Tables: Tents and Tables will be allowed near the start finish line for all racers. No overnight camping is allowed. Please be mindful of the space you take up so there is room for everyone who wants a tent or table.

Rules: The following offenses will result in automatic disqualification
-Alcohol use
-You cannot bring your pets
-Littering
-Not bringing a headlamp or flashlight when running in the dark
-Being rude to our volunteers
-Intentional course cutting

Please note that we do not offer refunds or deferments, or bib exchanges. We can however bump you up or down in distance. Please let the timing table know BEFORE you start your race. You cannot bump down your distance mid race.

A special note for all 3/6/12 hour runners:
This year you can run a mini lap if you do not have time to run a full lap. The mini loop is a out-and-back that equals 1/2 mile total. Please do not be dishonest with your mini loops to obtain an advantage over a competitor. If you have time to do a full loop we expect that you go back out for a full loop. Instructions will be given at the start of your race for the mini lap option.

-Please notify the timing table if you are ending your day early or leaving the course for longer than 30 minutes. Please do not leave without your race swag/awards...we do not send them in the mail.

A special note for 12 hour runners: Pacers are allowed at 4pm. Absolutely no pacing is allowed before 4pm. Pacers cannot carry your things and you can only have 1 pacer per runner. Pacers can take anything that they want from the aid station.

If you have any questions that are not answered in the above info you can contact Cassie at stridemultisport@yahoo.com.
