Rise and shine for the memorable New Year, New Us: 1mi/5k/10k run/walk! As the sun peeks over the horizon, brace yourself for a refreshing start to the year in the chilly morning air. Embrace the invigorating cold as a symbol of leaving behind the old and stepping into a new chapter that is the warm sunrise.

When you arrive at the event site you will be able to write down a slip of what you are leaving in the past year. Carry the 2023 slip with you during the run as you take on the 1-mile, 5K, or 10K course. Reflect on 2023 as you are on the course and look towards 2024. Once you finish, there will be a fire for you to throw in the slip that you are leaving behind in 2023 and warm up for new year. After you've came down from the run, you will get the chance to write down and take with you a *new 2024 slip of what and who you will be in 2024!

The morning atmosphere will be filled with a sense of camaraderie and unity, as participants huddle together to celebrate renewal and transformation. Encouraging cheers will warm your spirit, urging you to push through any lingering doubts and leave them in the dust for the new year.

After crossing the finish line, you'll be rewarded with a sense of achievement that can only come from conquering the cold and starting the year on an energetic high. And don't worry, we've got you covered with post-race warm-up stations and hot beverages to keep the celebration going!
