The Thriller Lake Endurance Run is a 12, 6, and 3 hour timed loop event on the 2.2 mile loop around Miller Lake at Little Mulberry park in Gwinnett County, GA.
The Trick or Treat Fun Run is for kids and adults of all ages looking for a trick or treat experience in a fun, safe, and positive community setting. Participants will complete one loop of the Miller Lake paved 2.2 mile trail with plenty of opportunities to experience the magic of Halloween. Costumes are highly encouraged, practically required! I mean, we'll be wearing ours... We will have several trick or treat stations along the course stationed with costumed volunteers and most importantly, candy! And dont worry, you dont have to run, but as night falls, things may only get stranger.... Just kidding... Or am I?
Seriously though, the Fun Run will start at 630PM, just as the sun starts to set, aka dusk. Most walkers can complete this loop easily under an hour and should be done before full dark (7:30PM). We still encourage guests to bring a flashlight, headlamp, old-timey oil lantern, or a lit torch if youre concerned about the dark. Ok, maybe not a real torch, but you get the point. Strollers are allowed but we will have to discourage any type of bicycles, scooters, or motorized devices unless medically necessary as there will be other runners on the course as well as the general public. Please remember to always be aware of others using the trail and keep to the right when others need to pass.
The fun run will not be timed. Instead, every participant will get a glow-in-the-dark wrist band when you check in, so that our volunteers will know who is participating in the event. Well also have a special treat bag available for the kids, or they can bring their own!
Did we mention costumes? Oh yeah, it wouldnt be a Halloween event without a costume contest! The top two best costumes (as judged by TEAM SUMMIT(and we know our stuff when it comes to costumes)) will get acknowledged AND the overall BEST costume will receive tickets to a Falcons game, courtesy of our friends with the Falcons organization.
Prize packs for overall winners from HOKA, Precision Fuel, PERC Coffee, Classic City Running, and Ka'Chava.
