Riis Park Striders Celebrate MLK Day
Picture of Felix Coleman presenting his annual "What MLK Means to Me" speech at Riis Park today. His speech was thoughtful and dignified as a American, pre-MLK and in our present era. Striders also enjoyed a great day of 45 degree weather. Neil and I did a cool-down walking the western part of Riis. It is a living monument built & developed by Danish Americans in 1929. Too bad the official dedication plaque was defaced.
