Riis Park Striders 2017 Thanksgiving Races (47th Annual)
The Riis Park Striders sponsored their 47 Annual Thanksgiving Races on Nov 23, 2017. We had a large group of individual runners and local running track clubs including: the RED PANDA RAIDERS; the DON AMIDEI TC; the SHAMROCK TC; and the WARSAW TC. The races included the 22nd Annual Joe Mittel Mile; and the Dick King Memorial 5,000 Meter race. The Official Race Results are attached. The Team Challenge Club winner was the SHAMROCK TC. Team RIIS PARK A won 2nd Place. We thank all participants, volunteers, friends and family for joining us on Thanksgiving for the races. We thank Joe Mittel's mom for again donating the prizes for the winners; and the Chicago Park District for opening the Field House for our race HQ.
