Race Information Race Name: Mad City 100K - 2009 Date: Saturday April 4th, 2009 - 8:00 am Location: Madison State: Wisconsin, United States Website: http://www.madcity100K.com  Go there or Go there in new browser Description: The Mad City 100K returns to the shores of Lake Wingra in Madison, Wisconsin, for our 3rd annual running. This is a road race. The 2009 Mad City 100K will be 50 kilometers in length and NOT the 100 kilometers distance (Please see our Mad City 100K website for further information). For 2009 the certified course consists of 5 laps of a popular 10-kilometer loop through the University of Wisconsin Arboretum and surrounding scenic neighborhoods. Half the course is flat, and the other half gentle hills. Please note that the 2009 Mad City race will NOT be a US national championship race. This is due to a scheduling conflict with the World Cup 100K. Consequently, we will NOT be offering prize money as we have done in 2008 and 2007. Concurrent with the 50K solo race, we will have a 50K relay event open to teams of up to 5 runners. All registrations are done online through RunRace.net (click the "Registration" tab above). Only one registration is required per relay team. Payment is via credit card online or check / money order by mail. All relay participants will be required to supply a waiver at packet pickup on Friday, April 3rd. All relay teams will compete in their respective category regardless of team size.
