[logo: River Grove FOP 5K]A chip timed (USATF IL-14067-JW certified course) 5K race ran through the beautiful streets of River Grove. A fast, flat course with minimal turns. $ 30.00 entry fee ($20.00 for children 12 and under) with a goodie bag, tech T-shirt. An outdoor post race award ceremony with bananas, water, sports drinks and individually wrapped snacks) afterwards with awards for overall male and female winners, awards for the male and female winner in the masters over 40 group and medals for the top 3 in each male and female age group. The River Grove Police FOP Lodge #59 is a non for profit organization which gives all the money raised back to the communities through schools, PTA's, Little Leagues and other charitable organizations. St, Eugene School, Triton college, MS society, Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, River Grove Lions club, Epilepsy Foundation to name a few and 2022 primary charity was a special donation to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.
