3rd Annual 5-Km and 1-Mile Road Race Under the Full Moon
For the third year in a row pleasant Chicago-conditions, ideal for road running, greeted eager runners in our neighborhood of Norwood Park. Volunteers began set up for our 3rd annual Chicago Full Moon Run at the hour of 5:00 pm. Soon participants arrived and bustled through check-in, packet pickup, and over to our starting areas.

Michelle provided last-minute instructions to 5-Km Featured Event participants then turned over control to Corrine Schreiber, our official race starter. With a "Runners set," and a blast of the air-horn Corrine sent runners westbound along Hurlbut Street at 7:33:04 pm.
Five minutes later, 132 meters farther west on Hurlbut Street, co-race director Michael Bastian sounded the air-horn again, this time sending 1-Mile Lunar Orbiters to the roads on their adventure at 7:38:05 pm.

Comments, Observations, Suggestions, Feedback...
Thanks, Bill. Just wanted to say that I wasn't a runner until this race. A friend prompted me and I am forever indebted to her. This was a great venue and very well put together. "I got from Rufus more than I knew Rufus had to give."
Kudos to you and your associates for putting this together. Thanks again.

I loved the race. Was so happy to see Ian and Eileen there too.
When I was in college I worked at Norwood Park a couple of summers with their day-camp. Nice to be back!
